I clutch my purse closer to my body.
Why do I do this?
Based solely on his skin color?
I hope not.
Is this ingrained in my being?
Natural instinct, reflex?
I was not brought up this way.
My parents aren't prejudiced.
I am certainly not prejudiced.
I smile what I hope is a warm, friendly
"I am not a racist" smile...
